Bedford Get Together is continuing our story project in which we are collecting stories from current and former county and town residents about their experiences in and around Bedford. We are exploring themes and voices of longtime residents as well as those of newer residents - and others who may offer a different perspective on the dominant cultural narrative - in order to create a community narrative: a combining of stories that represent the thinking and beliefs of our community. An initial effort to collect stories in group settings yielded 80+ stories, some of which will be published in the Bedford Bulletin and on our website starting in January 2024. The public is encouraged to comment on individual stories and/or submit their own story.
